About Eastern Sierra

Stretching north from Lone Pine to the Nevada line is the majestic area of Eastern Sierra. This region contains awe-inspiring landscapes, charming towns, and unique activities that the whole family will love.

In the Eastern Sierra, you can explore recreation areas, soak in mineral hot springs, or hit up Mammoth Ski Resort or the Yosemite.

In addition to the standard vacation destinations, Eastern Sierra has a variety of peculiar activities that will confuse and delight you. Explore the shortcut to nowhere in the Burro Schmidt Tunnel, the naturally sculpted black lava rock of Fossil Falls, or the odd artifacts at local museums like coyote teeth dentures or the two-headed lamb. You can even let gravity roll you UPHILL on Gravity Hill.

Be sure to stop in at the little towns along the way for eateries, cute shops, and learning opportunities.
