TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between you (our client) and us, Tumbleweed Travel, LLC. Please note that the terms “Tumbleweed Travel,” “we,” “us,” “our” and “TT” all refer toTumbleweed Travel. We encourage careful review of these Terms and Conditions prior to booking your Tumbleweed Travel Co. trip so that you understand your rights and obligations as our client and our rights and obligations as curator of your vacation.

Pricing, Reservations, Deposits and Payment

We will begin the process of planning your trip and present you with an itinerary and deposit invoice due for 20% of your Trip Cost. We will then work on booking your trip.

Payment in full is required 60 days prior to trip departure. We reserve the right to cancel your reservations if full payment is not received by the final due date. If your trip departs within 60 days of booking, full payment is required at time of booking.

We make every effort to convey accurate pricing information, but we do reserve the right to correct errors or adjust as needed for unforeseen increases in taxes, fees, or other included costs associated with camping, activities, park entrance, or private guide services.

Trip prices are per vehicle. Since we build your trip from scratch, pricing is fluid and dependent on vehicle availability and third-party travel service pricing. As such, quoted trip prices are only valid for 7 consecutive days after a quote is given. No reservations will be made until your trip is booked and deposit is received.

To complete your Tumbleweed Travel Co. reservation, you will need to complete your Trip Information Form and pay the deposit invoice. Payments can be paid by personal check, bank transfer (ACH), Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. Credit cards will incur an additional 3% processing fee, so we do recommend paying by ACH or personal check.

Changes to Itinerary, Trip Dates, ETC.

We will allow up to two revisions to your Tumbleweed Travel Co. itinerary for up to two weeks after booking. After that time, we charge a $100 change fee for any changes thereafter. Any transfer or cancellation fees imposed by hotels, operators, or other service providers will be passed along to you, the client. All requested changes are subject to availability and will not be guaranteed.

Tumbleweed Travel reserves the right to amend your trip after a trip is booked under the following unusual circumstances: a) trips outside the US where there is a significant change in the foreign currency exchange rate, b) the cost of a trip component supplied by a third party (vehicle rental, campground, or excursion) increases substantially between the time you pay your deposit and we reserve the service. c) A trip component is no longer available. In the latter two cases, we will always try to find a substitute at the same price, but occasionally the quoted rate is no longer available. In this event, we will let you know. If you do not wish to accept the new price or major itinerary change, you may cancel your trip and receive a full refund of any monies previously paid.

Late Reservations

Trips booked within 60 days of departure date will require payment in full upon booking.

Final Trip Documents

Your final Trip Documents includes your final itinerary, including your reservations, driving directions, things to do along the way and more. Once you pay your final invoice, you can expect to receive your documents within two weeks. You will be able to access your documents from a pdf file, web browser and mobile app.

Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellations must be received in writing -via email or mail. For cancellations more than 60 days prior to your departure date, the cancellation fee will be 50% of the price of your trip. For cancellations 60 days or less prior to your departure date, the cancellation fee will be 100% of the price of your trip.

No refunds or other compensation will be offered in the event that inclement weather, fire or smoke conditions, or other natural causes lead to travel delays or prevent clients from participating in scheduled activities. Please purchase appropriate Travel insurance if you would like to be covered. No partial or full refunds will be given for unused campground reservations, meals, activities, guide services, tours, events, or other trip arrangements for any reason whatsoever.

Trip Insurance

We highly recommend that you purchase travel insurance to protect yourself from unexpected circumstances that may lead to trip cancellation, interruption, or delay due to such reasons as sickness, injury, death, jury duty, etc.

Health and Health Insurance

We will work with you to arrange an itinerary that fits your desired fitness level; however, we do encourage clients to be in reasonable health and ensure that you do not have any physical condition or disability that would compromise your health or safety on an RV camping trip. Tumbleweed Travel Co. will not be held liable for any costs associated with any medical treatment you may require during your trip. And under no circumstances are we responsible for the quality of any medical care you may receive on your trip.

Prior to booking a trip, we highly recommend that you review your personal insurance policies and health insurance policies to ensure you have proper coverage to meet your needs, and the needs of your family or dependents, in case of any illness or injury requiring medical attention.

Risks

As an adventure travel company, we strive to get clients off the beaten path and involved in active enjoyment of their destination. As such, we often recommend activities like hiking, biking, kayaking, rafting, horseback riding, and more. Since Tumbleweed Travel Co. provides customized itineraries, we will work with you to include the types and levels of activity you like.

However, any physical activity can involve risk of injury, disability, illness, or death. In more remote destinations, medical facilities may not be easily accessed. Similarly, many services Tumbleweed Travel Co. may recommend, such as camping, transport, food, and local tours, will be obtained from independent suppliers over whom Tumbleweed Travel Co. has no control.

It is important that all clients recognize these risks and know that Tumbleweed Travel Co. will not be held responsible for any negligent or willful act or failure to act with any third party supplier. Likewise, Tumbleweed Travel Co. will not be held responsible for the quality or cost of any needed medical treatment. As a client, you accept responsibility for your own negligent or reckless behavior while on a trip Tumbleweed Travel Co. has organized.

Third Party Travel Services Not Guaranteed

Tumbleweed Travel Co. will reserve campgrounds, rv rentals, and activities with suppliers we trust and would highly recommend. However, these suppliers are independent contractors and are not agents or employees of Tumbleweed Travel Co. As such, we will not be held liable for any accident, injury, personal loss, or property damage to you or anyone in your traveling party that occurs while using third party travel service providers. Furthermore, we are not responsible for any purchases you make during your Tumbleweed Travel Co. trip.

Complaints

Please bring any complaints and issues to our immediate attention. Do not wait until the trip is over!  We take client complaints very seriously and will try to correct any problems immediately.
