About Portland

Keep Portland Weird! This city slogan makes it easy to see that Portland is the city to visit if you want something off the beaten track. In and around Portland, you will find a vibrant environment. You can search for waterfalls in the Columbia River Valley, go hiking through the trails, or smell the flowers at the International Rose Test Garden AND the Japanese Gardens. You can even take a selfie at the world’s smallest park! Plus, Portlanders absolutely love food, which means that trying out some of the local cuisines has got to be on your to-do list. The easiest way to do this is with a food tour! One food you must taste is the doughnuts. Tourists love the crazy doughnuts from Voodoo, but locals will tell you that Blue Star Donuts is the place to be!While visiting the Big Sur coastline can be a day trip, we suggest heading up for the weekend, at least!
