Dead Horse State Park, UT

About Dead Horse State Park

Despite its sorrowful legend and name, the Dead Horse State Park is a gorgeous destination for outdoor lovers. This park holds a majestic beauty waiting to be explored from the epic 2000 feet height of Dead Horse Point to the mighty rushing waters of the Colorado River.

When visiting Dead Horse State Park, you can go hiking or biking on the trails while also taking in the park’s stunning beauty at the various overlooks. As nighttime falls, we recommend that you stick around to stargaze and practice your night photography as Dead Horse is an International Dark Sky Park.

While Dead Horse may not be as famous as the other parks in the area, it holds just as much beauty without all of the crowds.
