Channel Islands National Park

About Channel Islands

Off southern California, coast is the exquisite Channel Islands. The Channel Islands are made up of five ecologically rich islands that are ideal day trips or weekend getaways where you can unplug from the hustle and bustle of modern life to reconnect with nature. Each island offers a different set of activities for you to enjoy, so if you only have time to visit one island, make sure that you choose the right island for you. Some activities that you can experience on the islands include hiking, photography, bird watching, picnicking, and tide-pooling. Of course, taking a trip to an island wouldn’t be complete without water activities. In the waters of the Channel Islands, you can go swimming, diving, fishing, surfing, snorkeling, kayaking, and boating. Some islands offer few amenities for visitors, so make sure to plan ahead!
