Monument Valley is the perfect example of the powerful natural forces of the earth. For hundreds of millions of years, layer after layer of sediment slowly built what was once a basin into a plateau. After, erosion took over and chipped away at the plateau to leave us with the incredible wonders we have today.

Located in the Navajo Nation’s Monument Valley Park, this has become one of the most photographed locations on earth and has been featured in a variety of movies. However, a picture does not do it justice. When you visit, you will be in awe at the sheer size and power of this inspiring landscape. Parts of Monument Valley are available for visitors to roam freely, but much of it must be led by a tour guide, so make sure to book in advance if you want a more in-depth exploration of the valley and all the beauty it has to offer.
