About Billings
Billings has long been shaped by the history and nature that surrounds it. To the north, you will find the Rimrocks. Eighty million years ago, this area was once a seashore. After millions of years, the sand and sediments have formed incredible sandstone formations that are ideal for hiking and biking.
To the east, you can explore the Pictograph Cave State Park, which contains pictographs and paintings of the prehistoric Montana residents from more than 2,000 years ago.
To the south, you will find the Yellowstone River where you can walk along the water, enjoy a picnic, or take out a kayak.
The town center also offers museums, an indoor water park, gardens, and the only zoo in Montana. Plus, you can browse through the specialty store and grab a bite to eat at the charming restaurants.
Billings is an excellent weekend getaway for those looking to embrace nature and unplug!
