As the only living Native American community that can boast being a World Heritage Site and a National Historic Landmark, Taos is a fascinating location to learn about the history who have been living in the area for thousands of years. You must also visit the 300-year-old Taos Plaza and its surrounding Taos Historic District. Taos features a variety of museums where you can learn about art and history. Don’t forget that Taos is also a popular winter destination! Taos Ski Valley offers numerous ski trails and lessons if you are looking to enjoy this sport! During the summer, you can head out into nature at Williams Lake, the Wild Rivers Recreation Area, or even cuddle up with an adorable llama at the Wild Earth Llama Adventures.
